Digisustain 2023

Climate change is one of the major defining issues of the present. Devastating forest fires and massive floods are having an enormous impact on the economy, society, and the financial system.

Geopolitical tensions have resulted in a severe setback for climate policy. Extreme weather events will increase in intensity and frequency if climate change is not stopped. Germany alone would incur costs of almost 800 billion euros by 2050.

At the 2015 UN Climate Change Conference in Paris, the 200 participating nations agreed to limit the rise in the Earth’s temperature to 1.5 degrees Celsius by 2050 compared to pre-industrial levels, if possible. Can this goal still be achieved, which targets are realistic and what is needed to achieve them?

Digisustain provides on 12 and 13 June 2023 the forum to discuss solutions to achieve climate change. Protecting the climate is a task for the entire society and industry. The use of AI, blockchain, smart data, quantum computing, and digitalization to achieve climate protection goals, as well as the use of energy sources of the future, such as hydrogen, will be discussed in depth at Digisustain.

Sustainability is much more than climate protection. This is shown by the 17 global Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) of the United Nations’ Agenda 2030, which will be addressed at Digisustain‘s “SDG Impact Forum.”

Frankfurt/Main, as the financial capital of Europe, transport hub, and technology location, is the ideal venue for Digisustain.
